welcome to my internet home. this blog used to be cool, with insights about mental health, social policy, pop culture and the like. now, it's a chaotic collection of my mis-spelled, scribbled-down notes on motherhood (who has time to proof read?). it's over-ran with goldfish cracker crumbles, slobery wet kisses, and un-edited pictures. and i would have it no other way. feel free to laugh and cry along side me while I balance a practice (mental heath) and motherhood, and their interconectedness

First Day Home

Our first day home was pretty special and just what I had imagined. Ever since I learned I was pregnant, I imagined my two sweeties on my lap, nursing one while loving on the other. The first thing I bought when I learned I was pregnant was a big Lazy-Boy chair for the 3 of us. It seemed like I spent an eternity in the hospital (it was really one 1.5 days), so I felt like a hen with all her chicks in the hen house when I finally came home. To my delight, Lyla was content to sit on one side of my lap while I fed Lottie. We gave Lottie her first ceremonial bath which was soo much fun. I couldn't help but think about how much better I felt this time around! I dressed Lottie in the same outfit I dressed Lyla in on her first day at home. I need to compare photos. We also had lots of visitors who adored Lottie just as we do :)
