welcome to my internet home. this blog used to be cool, with insights about mental health, social policy, pop culture and the like. now, it's a chaotic collection of my mis-spelled, scribbled-down notes on motherhood (who has time to proof read?). it's over-ran with goldfish cracker crumbles, slobery wet kisses, and un-edited pictures. and i would have it no other way. feel free to laugh and cry along side me while I balance a practice (mental heath) and motherhood, and their interconectedness

Blessing

Dearest Charlotte, dad gave you a name and blessing on June 16th, 2011.  He asked our Father to watch over you, to keep you in good health, and give you all the opportunities this world has to offer.  Your blessing was especially special because we got to do it surrounded only by our loving family and dearest friends.  This, because sacrament ended up being a special session for boundary changes that week and the whole stake was present.  The Gambles Crew had already made special arrangements to come on your behalf, so we made special arrangements to bless you in the Relief Society room with just the bishopric, family and friends.  You hated all the frill about you and unfortunately, it caused you to cry through your whole blessing.  I’m sorry I tortured you, but my goodness you looked precious.  You did a good job of flustering dear old Dad but he still have you a beautiful blessing.  After, we gathered at our house and had a very low key but delicious BBQ.  You have lots of people in this world who love you dearly.  A special thanks to Sid and Tracy Gambles Family, Grandma Bet, Jackie, and Scott and Shauna for traveling long long long distances to be there.  Also, thanks to Grandma Cris for the beautiful dress, and Aunt Jenny for the beautiful bow.
